Ever since I watched America: Freedom to Fascism, I’ve been following Ron Paul’s Presidential campaign. I’ve heard of Ron Paul before, but I just thought he was a Libertarian. I’ve considered myself one as well, but I hadn’t really read anything about them. They don’t get much media coverage.

Freedom to Fascism woke me up. I realized that I had bought into the whole Republican vs. Democrat thing and I had sided mostly with the Republicans. The Republicans say the right thing, but they don’t do it. I have missed their actions. The Democrats say the right things as well from a different point of view, but they don’t do anything either. Both parties are just a show to keep us distracted from what’s really going on.

The more I follow Ron Paul, the more I realized that this man does what he says. He says the right things and he does them. Unbelieveable in modern politics. Furthermore, nothing he does is for his own personal gain in power or finances. Everything he does is motivated by adhering to Constitutional principles and what is best for this country. My admiration and support for him rises each day. I am amazed by his courage to speak the truth and stand up to his opponents. The guy is an inspiration.

This of course, makes him a threat to the establishment. If you follow the Freedom to Fascism blog, you will see the great rise in support that Ron Paul is receiving. However you only hear about it on the internet. The big 4 networks never even mention him. His own party is actively trying to ban him from debates. Even Republican talk show hosts like Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, and even Glenn Beck dismiss him and call him a wacko. This despite the fact that he preaches exactly what they claim to preach. Limited government and a return to Constitutional principles. I guess those guys are just mouth pieces designed to distract us as well.

Ron Paul Rocks!

Just like Neo in the Matrix, I believe that Ron Paul is The One. The One that can help us take back our government. The One that can help us restore liberty. The One that can help us restore our financial independence as a nation. The One that can help us restore our faith in our country and bring back the original vision of the founding fathers.

I encourage you to follow Ron Paul yourself and make your own decision. Don’t let the media do it for you. I’m pretty sure you will come to the same conclusion that I have and you will vote for Ron Paul for President in 2008.

I saw a great video over the weekend on Google video. It’s called America: Freedom to Fascism and was produced by Aaron Russo, who also produced such movies as Trading Places and the Rose. The movie won rave reviews at the Cannes Film Festival. You can see it at www.freedomtofascism.com.

This movie is the best movie I’ve seen that explains where the United States is and how it got there. If you want to understand why our government works the way it does, why we are in Iraq, and why nothing seems to change in Washington, regardless of which party is in power then watch this movie. You will begin to understand and you will see events through new eyes.

So, I was flipping through the channels after watching the Unit and I stopped on Boston Legal. They were before the judge and talking about how one side had taken the blood of the other side and had received a patent on it. Then the judge said “Wait a minute! You can’t take his blood without his permission, unless you’re the government.”

The emphasis is mind. The judge said this. Let me repeat that. The judge said this. This statement is totally false, unless there is some clause in the Patriot Act, which is unconstitutional anyway, so its still false. The government has no more right to take your blood without your permission that anybody else. I see TV shows playing fast and loose with the Constitution all the time, most often on 24 with the 25th amendment. I hate to think how many people see this on TV and think its the truth. This is gross irresponsibility on the part of ABC and the media in general. You would think they would want to protect our rights more than anybody to keep their 1st amendment rights, but more and more it seems they are helping with their disintegration. Actually, I don’t think they care about our rights. Just as long as they have the microphone and are making more money. Pay attention to stuff like this and if you are so moved, write ABC and tell them how you feel.
